It has been my happiest dream to write novels ever since I was in fifth grade and my dear white-haired teacher, Mrs. Kean, told me I would. She told me not to worry that I couldn’t seem to get the math, because I had a flair for writing, and when I grew up, people would enjoy the books I would write. My debut novel is The Reluctant Fortune-Teller, was published by HarperCollins/Harlequin/ParkRow in 2018. It is the humorous and uplifting story of Norbert , a retired accountant who, against his better judgment, becomes a fortune-teller in order to make ends meet. My second novel, Getting Rid of Mabel, comes out in 2019, and is the story of Margaret, 87 years old, who learns that a woman who looks exactly like her has come to town and is doing scandalous things, threatening Margaret's reputation. She has to find out who this bizarre stranger is, where she has come from, and especially: how to get rid of her. In my day job, I am a psychotherapist. I share my home with my loving human family , five tiny dogs and one cat.
