Of her group’s latest NovelNetwork author visit experience, book club manager Erin had this to say: “What a special treat to be joined by Susie Orman Schnall and discuss her novel We Came Here to Shine. We were transported back to 1939 and the New York World’s Fair that took place in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park (not far from us). Susie started our meeting with the most informative presentation and then we had so much fun discussing the book and the characters Vivi and Max. The World’s Fair came back to Flushing Meadows in 1964 and many of our club members attended it then. So many stories and memories were shared. It was simply amazing and our most fun book discussion yet, with so many smiles and laughs. I cannot encourage readers and other book groups enough to contact Susie for a meeting.
