The Big Bottom Book Club consists of 15 neighbors and friends in the Big Bottom community of Gainesboro (Jackson County), Tennessee. According to book club manager Tiffany, “We enjoy choosing diverse books, and our meetings are much anticipated social events. We meet every six weeks and rotate hostess duties, with the hostess choosing the book. There is always themed decor, goody bags, and a signature cocktail that was either mentioned in the book or inspired by the book. Everyone brings a dish, and again, is generally something mentioned or inspired by the book. We also dress up as a character in the book, which always lends itself to a fun time!!”
This fun group celebrated The Social Graces with bestselling author Renee Rosen. Here’s the recap from Tiffany:
“Oh my goodness, what a night!! Renee, thank you again for joining us, and we literally talked about it well past midnight! And Deborah, thank you for helping to facilitate this special event!! Our signature cocktail was a champagne punch, and as party favors, I had champagne flutes for everyone with their names etched on them. We also had wine corks and beverage coozies with the name of our book club. Renee, since you participated in our club, I would love to mail you a goodie package, too! Our costumes were so much fun to put together, and I loved being Mrs. Astor as Marie Antoinette! Even our little dog dressed for the occasion! Lol! Oh, and my daughter worked on a beautiful slide show with photos and quotes from the book that looped through the evening. Thank you both again for an AMAZING experience!! Renee, we were all star struck, and we can’t wait for your next release!!”
