By now, we hope you have heard the exciting news that we have been invited by billionaire entrepreneur and Shark Tank TV star Mark Cuban and brilliant entrepreneur and former Node.io CEO Falon Fatemi to host an Adventures by the Book literary-themed series on their innovative new Fireside Chats, an interactive live podcast platform.
Fireside Chat features content creators like Adventures by the Book who are dedicated to facilitating meaningful dialogue to keep us connected, much like President Franklin Delano Roosevelt did during WWII with his radio fireside chats.
Like a cross between a live podcast (except no video so you can stay in your jammies!) and a call-in radio show where you can hop “on-stage” and have a live conversation with your favorite authors and other readers, our Adventures by the Book Fireside Chats will feature book discussions, live chats with authors, NovelNetwork book club visits, and other engaging and meaningful literary experiences.
Please join us on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 1 pm PDT/2 pm MDT/3 pm CDT/4 pm EDT as we chat about the author and editor relationship with television producer and bestselling author Stephanie Storey, and Lilly Golden, Senior Editor at Arcade Publishing.
Two Ways to Access the Event:
To participate live with the ability to actively chat live with the speakers (iPhone or iPad is required), please contact us prior to the day of the event and we will send your VIP access link.
To listen live (from any device), visit our Fireside Chat public profile page at the time of the event
About Stephanie Storey:
Stephanie Storey’s debut novel Oil and Marble, hailed as “tremendously entertaining” by The New York Times, has been translated into six languages and is currently in development as a feature film by Pioneer Pictures. Storey is also the author of Raphael, Painter in Rome, which came out in April 2020 in conjunction with the 500th anniversary of Raphael’s death.
Storey has a degree in Fine Arts from Vanderbilt University and attended a PhD program in Art History, before leaving to get an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College, and has studied art in Italy and been on a pilgrimage to see every Michelangelo on display in Europe.
Storey has also been a national television producer for nearly twenty years in Los Angeles for shows including Alec Baldwin on ABC, Arsenio Hall for CBS, and Emmy-nominated The Writers’ Room on the Sundance Channel. When not writing novels or producing television, Storey can usually be found with husband Mike Gandolfi — an actor and Emmy-winning comedy writer — traveling the world in search of their next stories… Well, except during the pandemic when she is sheltering in place, writing her NEXT novel, and hosting a YouTube Channel show where she talks to OTHER writers about their work.
About Lilly Golden:
Lilly Golden has been a book editor for nearly three decades, cutting her teeth in the late 1980s at the Atlantic Monthly Press (now Grove/Atlantic) where legendary American writers including Raymond Carver, Richard Ford, Tobias Wolff, and a very young Donna Tartt roamed the halls. From there she spent the next twelve years at The Lyons Press, where she brought in the writers Tom McGuane, Joy Williams, Jay McInerney, and Rick Bass. For the past fourteen, she’s been a Senior Editor at Arcade, publishing a range of fiction and nonfiction both commercial and literary and books at the nexus of the two, including the wonderful novelist Stephanie Storey. Lilly lives in the Catskills region of upstate New York with her husband and a menagerie including chickens and horses and a very naughty goat.
