The Ellsworth Public Library Community Book Club is a 21+ Adult Book Club that formed through the Ellsworth Public Library in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. They started their meetings in local restaurants and establishments, enjoying a variety of genres. With 6-12 members who meet monthly, book club manager Caroline recently scheduled her group to visit with bestselling author and book club favorite Susan Meissner. Of their visit, Caroline shared this:

“We all enjoyed listening to Susan talk about the inspiration and creation of The Last Year of the War.  Susan is so personable, knowledgeable and engrossing to listen to, I’m sure we could have chatted longer despite us having to move ourselves out of the rain!  The group really felt like we were talking to a kindred spirit, and it was clinched for me when Susan quoted L.M. Montgomery from Anne of Green Gables when we were talking about Elise and Mariko’s friendship in the book!  I, for one, look forward to reading more of Susan’s books and maybe even chatting with her again someday about another of her novels.”

Yes, many of our authors have multiple published books, including Susan Meissner. Please do schedule again with her, Caroline!
